I currently have the date format 2016-11-23 16:47:21.007 and I am trying to convert it with this SQL: Update usertable set logindate CONVERT(datetime ,logindate,120). So that I only get 2016-11-23 16:47:21 but its currently just staying as the same format. Am I missing something? The date columns in Excel are formated as mm/dd/yyyy and are imported into SQL Server 2008 as yyyy-mm-dd hh.mm.ss.xxx with a data type of datetime. I need to get yyyy-mm-dd hh.mm.ss.xxx back to mm/dd/yyyy.
